Testimonials help others know:
- who to trust,
- what tools might be good to try, or
- when a writing resource (or story) might be worth their time to check out.
Also note that testimonials are especially trusted when accompanied by the person's picture. As a bonus, if we use a consistent avatar image around the web, we look more professional and are more memorable to others.
